Established in 2024 by Luke and Felicity Miller. We are a company that collects and diverts organic waste. Our mission starts with turning food scraps and other compostable materials into finished compost. Composting is a natural process that breaks down organic matter into a nutrient-rich soil amendment, which is essential for maintaining healthy soil and ecosystems.

Did you know that 96% of households' waste ends up in landfills, combustion facilities, or in the sewer system? Or that 4-10% of food purchased by restaurants never gets to customers, while 30-40% of the food served to customers never gets consumed? Furthermore, the USDA states that 30-40% of America's total food supply is wasted. That's a huge problem and it's adding up quickly. We want to help you become part of the solution.

We're trying to make it easy and convenient for our community to start diverting their organics (food, leaves, grass clippings, etc.). Why is this so important? Well, there are many reasons and I'll go through them with you here.

Background

  • Removes waste from improperly decomposing in a landfill where it will produce methane, a potent greenhouse gas.

  • Creates a valuable resource, compost. Compost can be used to improve soil health, structure, and fertility. Using compost as a soil amendment can in turn reduce the need for synthetic fertilizers and other chemicals in the garden.

  • Supports sustainable agriculture. By using compost farmers and gardeners can create a more sustainable and resilient food system. One that can hold up to droughts, extreme temperature swings, and other environmental challenges.

  • Mitigates climate change: Composting can help to sequester carbon in the soil, reducing the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and mitigating the effects of climate change.

  • Promotes biodiversity by providing a habitat for beneficial microorganisms and other organisms that are essential for ecosystem health.

  • Saves water by improving the soil structure. This lessens the need for irrigation and helps conserve water.

  • Reduces pollution by providing a natural way to manage our organic waste, utilizing it and all it has to offer, instead of harming the environment sitting in the landfills.

We are just beginning our projects to divert organic waste and know we can make a big difference with your help.

We aim to divert tons of organic waste like food scraps, leaves, grass clippings, etc. from the landfill and turn it into valuable resources such as nutrient-rich compost

From our local restaurants to residential homes, we need your help! Your participation will make a difference. We're looking forward to working with you.

Once we divert the organic waste from ending up in the landfill, we bring it to our property. Here we turn it into nutrient-rich compost to be used in fruit, vegetable, and flower gardens alike. We have big plans for further utilization of the diverted waste to be announced.
